COVID-19 RESPONSE

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic poses an unprecedented and unpredictable situation for citizens and businesses alike. In these trying times, we want to assure our customers that we will continue to provide them with the reliable, quality service they have come to depend on since our inception in 1947.

FUEL OIL DELIVERIES

Ed’s fleet is still delivering the heat! As an essential service, we have been delivering fuel oil throughout the pandemic to keep our customers warm and comfortable while they are home. This is unfamiliar territory and we have no idea what tomorrow may hold. That being said, we recommend you monitor your oil tank often and notify us if you are in need of a delivery. Spending more time at home may have affected your consumption.

Thankfully, our delivery drivers have little to no contact with customers in the course of their day. Given the escalating number of cases in our area, we now ask that you please refrain from paying our drivers with cash. Payments can be made online, over the phone or by mail.

SERVICE CALLS & FURNACE CLEANINGS

Our service department is here and readily available should you experience any emergencies with your boiler or furnace. As the Governor has initiated phase one of reopening, we have resumed furnace and boiler cleanings and tune ups. We will be contacting customers who had appointments in February, March or April to reschedule.

The health and safety of our employees and our customers is of the utmost importance to us. As a result, we are strictly adhering to CDC social distancing guidelines. We kindly ask that you do the same while our technician is at your home.

Prior to your appointment, our customer service representatives, technicians and answering service will be asking you additional questions prior to dispatching a technician to your home. This is an effort to determine what precautions we may need to take in order to keep all parties safe. To further avoid contact, we ask that customers have secondary entry ways accessible for our technicians; such as bulkheads or walkout basement doors.  This will prevent unnecessary exposures in living spaces. Our technicians will communicate with you via phone. If contact is completely unavoidable, please follow social distancing guidelines set forth by the CDC. While are technicians are equipped with masks and gloves, we recommend sanitizing any surfaces we may have come in contact with, like door knobs and switches, after your service has been completed.

COMMUNICATION & PAYMENTS

Like many other local agencies and businesses, our office staff is working but our office is now closed to the public. If you do need to visit our office, please call ahead to make an appointment.

To maintain social distancing guidelines and avoid potential exposures, we strongly urge all customers to utilize our new self-service customer portal or contact us by telephone to make payments. To register for the portal, click the “My Account” button on our website.  Oil deliveries can be placed over the phone, by email or on our website www.edsgarage.com. Payments can be made online, over the phone or by mail. Additionally, any account questions can be addressed over the phone or by email.

We thank all of our customers for their patience and understanding during this unique time. We wish you and your families good health. Stay safe.
